The Woman

I met a women on the road

& she told me her story

& it was sad

I wanted 2 give her a hug

because of corona I couldn't

I wanted 2 say I would be here for her

because of corona I couldn't

I wanted 2 to comfort her

but I had nothing 2 say

So I left her thee alone on the road

with only one destination

what lurks in the shadow

this warm summer night

the moon over a meadow

sharing it's light t

he stars are watching with an icy stare

they know what is coming

but they silently glare

I run thru the meadow

I can't catch my breath

I know it is coming

Your fingers played with my heart

I cried a river

You scorched the earth

am I lost forever

in this world of hurt?

You laughed at the horror

I drowned in the pain

a world of sorrow

hope is slain

I screamed in anger

You're twisted & deranged
